Rajeev Satav was 46 years old and was admitted to Jehangir hospital for having tested positive for Covid-19. He was admitted for 23 days. He was able to recover from Covid but due to the lack of immunity, he caught pneumonia and then Cytomegalovirus, after which he lost the battle of his life.
Before becoming an MP in Rajya Sabha, he was a member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha from (Hingoli) Maharashtra. He won against Subhash Wankhede who is a Shiv Sena MP. He was also in control of the AICC.
