Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was recently questioned by the Mumbai Police in regards to Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide. The actor left for his heavenly abode on June 14. And after that, people related to the late actor have been recording their statements at the Bandra Police Station. Like many others, SLB recorded his statement and apparently revealed that he was planning to cast Sushant in four of his films. However, things did not materialise for them as planned.
Days after SLB recorded his statement, Abhishek Trimukhe, DCP (Zone IX), Mumbai Police, has confirmed this development. In an interview with a news agency, the DCP also mentioned why SLB and Sushant couldn't work on those four films.
"Sanjay Leela Bhansali was planning to take Sushant in four of his films. But due to unavailability of dates, the films had other actors," he revealed to ANI. He further mentioned that the police have taken into custody CCTV recordings of the building where Sushant resided in Bandra.
However, he stated that no CCTV's were found in the actor's house and forensic reports are awaited. "Mumbai Police is investigating into all important details about this case. Mumbai Police is awaiting a response from nodal of Twitter, about the alleged tweets circulated on social media from SSR handle," the DCP added.
Talking about Sushant, the actor had slipped into depression and was suffering from it for the last six months. He decided to end his life on June 14 and was found dead at his Bandra residence. The actor left no suicide note behind and the reason why he took such a drastic step is not known to anyone.
On the work front, he will be last seen in Mukesh Chhabra's Dil Bechara with Sanjana Sanghi. The film is all set for an OTT release on July 24.
