Gangster Vikas Dubey made headlines nationally after he killed eight policemen while they were headed for a raid at his house. Post the killings, the gangster fled the scene and for almost a week, the cops were searching for him. He was finally arrested yesterday from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and was handed over to the UP police. Earlier today, he was being brought back to Kanpur via road and it has been alleged that the car overturned after skidding due to heavy rains that injured a few policemen. Taking advantage of the situation, the gangster allegedly tried to escape by snatching a rifle from one of the cops and was killed in retaliation after he fired shots at police.
As soon as the news of his encounter broke, Twitter erupted with many having a field day. Interestingly, Rohit Shetty started trending on the social media platform. Many are saying that the encounter is straight out of a Rohit Shetty film with a car overturning.
One user wrote, "A night before Physicist Rohit Shetty explaining how to create a scene to the overturned convoy. Moreover, Justice has been done to martyrs." Another tweeted, "Rohit Shetty coming up with Singham 4. Akshay or Ajay sir who gonna lead the role. Only time could let us all know." A netizen simply tweeted, "Singham 3 Directed by Rohit Shetty".

On the front, Rohit Shetty is awaiting the release of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi. The movie is a part of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe or Singham Universe, and is a sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Singham, Singham Returns and Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba.
Sooryavanshi was supposed to release on March 20 but had to be postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic that led to the global shutdown.
